At Treasure Valley Vision Center, we invest in state-of-the-art vision testing devices for the early detection of eye diseases ensuring enhanced eye health for the entire family. With a perpetual goal of a fantastic experience for each patient from start to finish, we know that vision testing needs to be coupled with comfort and accuracy. We’ve brought our best eye services and technology to our local Meridian, ID location so that you can get optimal vision testing close to home.
Retina Camera Imaging We maintain a baseline of your eye health by capturing retinal images during each exam and storing them in your medical records. By reviewing them at each appointment we are quickly alerted to changes and can proceed with further testing as needed. Our commitment to you is to monitor your eyes to maintain your vision, manage symptoms, and prevent damage from eye diseases.
The Process: In most cases, retinal imaging does not require eye dilation. You will be positioned comfortably with your chin and forehead resting on supports. You’ll stare at a specific point and after the bright flash the picture is done. It’s quick, painless, and important for assessing your retinal health.
OCT (Optical Coherence Tomography) ImagingWhen you are at risk of eye disease, we rely on OCT imaging. This test is advanced enough to detect critical eye conditions before symptoms have even developed. Other eye tests may focus only on the superficial retinal layer, but the OCT creates detailed 3D images of all layers of the retina and optic nerve.
The advanced retinal images can help diagnose: ● Glaucoma● Retinal Tear or Detachment● Macular Degeneration● Diabetic Retinopathy● Macular Edema● Cornea Disease● And More.
Early detection of these eye diseases is crucial in managing eye health and preventing blindness.
The Process: The OCT eye scan is simple and non-invasive. You can expect the testing to last only 10 minutes or less. The machine will scan your eyes with infrared light, never physically touching them.
VF2000 NEO Visual Field AnalyzerDid you expect to experience a virtual reality headset at the eye doctor? Our VF2000 NEO is just that with a notable difference. Rather than gaming, the VF2000 headset is an advanced tool used to test your side or peripheral vision accurately. Though other tests effectively determine your straight-ahead focused vision, we can test your complete field of vision by immersing you in VR.
The Process: Almost like a game, you will put on the headset and watch for small lights at the edges of your vision. Each time a light appears you press a button. This is a low-pressure test because the NEO has an eye-tracking feature to ensure accuracy; if you lose focus, the test automatically pauses and then resumes when you are back on track.
The VF200 NEO device helps us more effectively diagnose your eyes and offers more fine-tuned vision management options.
At Treasure Valley Vision Center, we treasure your vision. In addition to our specialized vision tests, we offer individualized care including eye exams for the entire family, stylish prescription eyeglasses, and contact lenses. We proudly serve Meridian, Kuna, Nampa, and Boise Idaho.
